Pop Art Mixed Media Heart in Vibrant Colors
Carolina Fernandez
Using paper and yarn, we make dozens of flowers to fill in the heart shape we create on hand-painted canvas. I call this a "heart sculpture" as each flower takes many hands and many minutes to sculpt into the perfect combination. This is a collaborative effort with our teams in rural Rwanda; there, we build workrooms to give opportunity for meaningful, creative work for women who are otherwise disconnected from the possibility.
